Digital software and plugins are the foundation of modern music production, and everything appears to be precise, if not downright "mechanical". However, when a human factor is introduced into the equation, instantaneously, it springs to life. Every time an artist performs, they unintentionally introduce imperfections into the work. This is a natural product of human emotion. Therefore, why would we need to modify the pitch or timing of a performance when we already know that these imperfections are blooming with character?
Consider a song that includes a raw, unprocessed vocal performance but rest of the elements are programmed using MIDI. However good the singer may be, he or she may not be able to match the other software-programmed elements in terms of pitch accuracy. This could have a negative impact on the production as a whole. As a result, pitch editing has grown more important in the recent years. The process is carried out after the recording of a performance and prior to mixing. The mixing engineer is usually preoccupied with more vital aspects of the production and he or she may not have time to sit and work on the editing process itself. This is where our role comes into play.
Pitch Worxx began as an experiment in 2017 to figure out how to achieve the most natural pitch and timing edits for vocals, percussion and other monophonic acoustic recordings. After a lot of trial and error, we came up with a solution that included some unique workflow and methodologies that saves time and gives the best results. The fact that we have completed more than a thousand projects in less than four years is proof of our dedication to providing the best possible pitch editing service around. So, don’t ditch your pitch, leave it to us!
